Anthony Hughes, BA(SYDNEY), M.Litt(UNE), Cert. TESOL (UNSW) Anthony Hughes has worked in digital media consulting and international education for over 20 years. He was a lead consultant in Europe for the International Development Program of Australian Universities and Colleges (IDP) and on behalf of Austrade (The Australian Trade Commission) and the IDP he gave a series of seminars on Australian education at universities in Europe and provided digital media consultancy services for Australian private and public sector educational organizations recruiting students from the European market. |

Jane Munro, BA Communications (CSU) Jane Munro is an award winning broadcast journalist with twenty years industry experience across all media platforms including film, television, radio and most recently in delivery of cross media, multi-channel coverage. She was Production Coordinator and researcher for the US Discovery Channel film produced in Australia, entitled “The Ultimate Athlete”. Her career with the ABC included positions as the national Executive Producer of ABC Local Radio’s online service and, until the end of 2009, as Content Director for ABC Local Radio, overseeing the delivery of cross-media coverage of local news, events and issues for the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast Local Radio footprints. In 2008, she oversaw the production of a national partnership with the State Libraries of NSW for the 2008 Australian Poetry Slam. This six month coverage project culminated in a live broadcast from the Sydney Opera House broadcast nationally on ABC Local Radio, simultaneously video streamed online and then post-edited for broadcast on ABC2 in March 2009. The project was commended by the ABC Advisory Council and nominated as a finalist in the 2008 ABC Local Radio awards for Community Event of the Year. In 2007, Jane was Executive Producer of the ABC Local Radio award winning online coverage of the Byron Bay Writers Festival. Amongst her professional awards, she received a United Nations Peace Media Award for a documentary on an Aboriginal language preservation program, entitled, “The Gumbaynggir people”. She also received a NSW government award for best radio documentary on young people and youth issues. Jane is particularly interested in the delivery of powerful storytelling in a cross-media environment; and the multi-dimensional opportunities presented through combining highly crafted media with user-generated content to ensure full audience engagement.
